Private Instruction

Our full-day lesson provides beginner paddlers with a well-rounded introduction to whitewater kayaking. If you’re looking for more we can customize lessons to meet your needs. We focus on the basics: roll technique, whitewater paddling, and basic river hydrology. Lasting 4 hours, our full-day lessons work to maximize your time on the water. Gear and transportation are also provided to and from the river. This type of lesson is the BEST way to get into kayaking if you are new to the sport. Call for questions about the course. Private lesson overview

  • -Days: Lessons are available every day of the week.

    -Months: April- September

    -Time: Lessons begin at 9 am and between 4-5 hours

  • -Each lesson is customized by your skill needs.

    -Beginners - advanced boaters

  • We customize lessons to your needs. Below is an example of our beginner plan:

    -Underwater comfort

    -The zen of exiting the boat (wet exit, roll technique)

    -Boat control and paddling technique

    -Moving down river with basic strokes

    -Understanding the river’s movements

    -Gear: what you need and what you don’t

  • -All kayak gear

    -transportation to and from the river

    -safety gear

    -Dry bag, 10L

    -extra water

  • -Extra layers

    -Water bottle

    -Lunch each day

    -Clothes for the take out

    -Any kayak gear you have

  • -$150/ person

    Groups of 3 or more
