Through hell and high water Missoula's loneliest people gather every Wednesday night at the infamous Kootenai Creek in the Bitterroot Mountains. Nestling into a slight buzz from the 20 minute drive the queen beaters of Missoula's kayak scene slide and grinder their way down a staircase of liquid dreams. With a runnable stretch of water lasting 200 yards, Kootenai is a football field length of punch you in the gut fun. Toted as the Missoula's training ground, this gem will either turn you hard or have you feeling violated. So if your feeling keen or a little drunk come down to the koot with you favorite locals and eat a hot dog. Happy paddling and no excuses!
